Subway Kids Menu UK 2026: Kids Pak Prices, Choices & What’s Inside
In a hurry? Here’s the short version. The Subway Kids’ Pack is the chain’s children’s meal: a 4-inch mini sub with a choice of ham, chicken, tuna or Veggie Delite®, a BEAR Yoyo fruit snack and a drink in one box. Subway doesn’t set one UK-wide price — each store sets its own — but at most stores it lands around £3.99 to £4. And during school half terms, it often turns up completely free with an adult’s Footlong.

If you’ve ever stood at a Subway counter with a hungry five-year-old pulling at your sleeve, you’ll know the appeal. Your child gets a proper little sub made exactly the way they like it, portioned for smaller appetites, instead of half of yours going in the bin. This guide covers what’s in the pack, what it costs, and which choices are the healthiest.
WHAT IS THE SUBWAY KIDS’ PACK?
The Kids’ Pack is Subway UK’s dedicated meal for younger children, and it’s been on the menu for years in one form or another. The current version is built around nutrition rather than toys — the whole pack is non-HFSS, and the box carries Subway’s Fresh Moves characters with activities to keep little hands busy while you eat.
One thing worth clearing up straight away is the name. In Subway’s own nutrition information it’s the Kids’ Pack, but when the Kids Eat Free holiday deal is running, the same meal is promoted as the Little Subs Kids Pack. Same box, same contents — so if you see either name on a menu or a delivery app, you’re looking at the same thing.
WHAT’S INSIDE: THE KIDS’ PACK AT A GLANCE
Everything in the pack is chosen when you order, so no two boxes have to look alike. Here’s the full line-up:
| Part of the Pack | What You Get | The Choices |
|---|---|---|
| 4-inch mini sub | A freshly made mini sub, built at the counter | Ham, chicken, tuna or Veggie Delite®, plus cheese and salad |
| Snack | A BEAR Yoyo 100% fruit snack | One per pack, fruit flavour |
| Drink | A drink of their choice | Bottled water is the standard inclusion |
| The box | Fresh Moves characters and activities | Included with every pack |
The format is deliberately simple: one small sub, one snack, one drink — no dessert course and no toy mountain, which plenty of parents will count as a plus. What there is, is choice, and that’s where Subway’s set-up genuinely suits children: the sub is built in front of them, and they can point at exactly what they want in it.
THE MINI SUB: FILLING CHOICES
The heart of the pack is a 4-inch sub — two-thirds the length of a standard 6-inch, on the same freshly baked bread. There are four fillings on the official kids’ line-up:
- Ham — the classic, and the one most children default to.
- Chicken — plain, familiar, and a decent source of protein.
- Tuna — for the child who surprises you by loving tuna.
- Veggie Delite® — the meat-free option, built from the salad bar.
Beyond the filling, the sub is customised just like a grown-up one. Your child can add cheese, pick from more than eight salad and vegetable options — lettuce, tomato, cucumber, sweetcorn, peppers and the rest — and finish with a sauce if they want one. For fussy eaters this is the real selling point: a plain ham and cheese sub with nothing green in sight is absolutely allowed, and a child who wants cucumber and sweetcorn piled in can have that too.
THE SNACK AND DRINK
The snack in the box is a BEAR Yoyo — a pure fruit snack made from fruit with nothing added, which counts towards one of your child’s 5-a-day. It replaced the cookie-and-crisps approach of older kids’ meals, so the pack doesn’t end with a sugar rush.
For the drink, bottled water is the standard inclusion, keeping the whole meal low in sugar. Some stores offer a small fruit juice as the alternative, so it’s worth asking at the counter if your child has a preference. If you’re buying extra drinks for the table, the main drinks menu has kids covered too — our menu lists a 200ml Fruit Shoot at £2.29, for example. Either way, there’s no giant fizzy drink bundled in by default.
HOW MUCH DOES THE KIDS’ PACK COST?
This is the bit where we have to be straight with you: Subway UK doesn’t publish a single national price for the Kids’ Pack, because every store is run by a local franchisee who sets their own prices.
Most stores price the pack at around £3.99 to £4 — UK menu listings put it at £3.99, and recent coverage of the pack describes it as worth around £4. Expect a bit more in city-centre and travel locations, and more again if you order through a delivery app, where menu prices are routinely marked up.
So check the board or the app before you order — but as a rule of thumb, budget about four pounds per child in store and you’ll rarely be far out.
A HEALTHIER KIDS’ MEAL, BY DESIGN
Subway put real work into the nutrition side of this pack. According to Subway’s own UK nutrition page, the Kids’ Pack meets the children’s meals Salt Targets 2024, with less than 0.1g of salt per portion, and everything in it is non-HFSS — shorthand for not high in fat, salt or sugar. Each meal is low in fat and saturated fat while still providing protein and fibre.
If you’re picking the healthiest combination, the Veggie Delite® mini sub with plenty of salad is the lightest route, with tuna close behind. Add the water rather than juice, and the salad your child actually eats — there’s no prize for loading up cucumber that ends up on the tray. The pack also contributes to their 5-a-day through the fruit snack and whatever salad makes it into the sub.
KIDS’ PACK OR A REGULAR 6-INCH SUB?
For most younger children, the pack is the right size and the right price. A 4-inch sub is a sensible portion for a primary-school appetite, and at around £4 with the snack and drink included, it usually works out cheaper than building the same thing from the main menu.
The crossover point is appetite. A hungry nine- or ten-year-old may polish off the pack and immediately start eyeing your lunch, in which case a 6-inch sub from the full Subway main menu — which starts at £4.39 — is the better buy, even if you then add a drink separately. Roughly speaking, the Kids’ Pack suits most children up to about eight, and the 6-inch takes over from there — though there’s no official age limit, so order whatever will actually get eaten.
KIDS EAT FREE: THE SCHOOL-HOLIDAY DEAL WORTH KNOWING
Here’s the money-saving part. In most school half terms, Subway runs Kids Eat Free at participating stores: buy any full-price Footlong and you get one Little Subs Kids Pack free with it. It ran in February half term 2026, and it has come back for October half term too — deal roundups report dates of 24–30 October in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, with Scotland running earlier in the month.

One free pack per Footlong, so two adults ordering Footlongs can feed two children free. The only catch is that not every store takes part, and the exact dates move around, so check Subway’s official campaigns page or ask in store before you build a day around it. Outside the holidays, keep an eye on our round-up of current Subway deals in the UK — the app in particular carries offers that never reach the in-store board.
ALLERGIES, FUSSY EATERS AND BUILDING IT THEIR WAY
Because every kids’ sub is made to order at the counter, Subway is one of the easier places to feed a child with specific needs. Ingredients can be left out, salad items swapped and sauces skipped entirely, and staff are used to building plain subs for children who want them that way.
Allergies need a bit more care than fussiness, though. Subs are prepared in a shared area, fillings sit side by side at the salad bar, and cross-contact is always possible. Before ordering for a child with an allergy, read our guide to the Subway allergen menu in the UK, check Subway’s published allergen information, and tell the person making the sub about the allergy before they start.
FEEDING THE WHOLE FAMILY FOR LESS
A few habits keep a family Subway trip cheap. The adults’ meal deals — a sub, side and drink for one set price — usually beat buying everything separately, and they’re all listed in our deals guide linked above. If each adult orders a Footlong during a Kids Eat Free week, the children’s meals cost nothing at all — one of the cheapest family lunches on the high street.
Feeding a crowd, like a football team or a birthday group? Subway doesn’t run a standard in-store party package in the UK, but its catering platters — trays of subs cut into portions — are the practical route for group orders, and most stores can help if you order ahead. For an ordinary family lunch, though, the routine is simple: Footlongs or meal deals for the grown-ups, Kids’ Packs for the children, and everyone’s fed.

FINAL THOUGHTS
The Subway Kids’ Pack is a simple idea done properly: a small sub your child actually chooses, a fruit snack instead of a sugar hit, and a drink, for about four pounds — or nothing at all when the half-term deal is on. It won’t suit a ravenous ten-year-old, but for younger children it’s one of the most sensible children’s meals you can buy on the high street.
One last note: prices at Subway are set by each store, so the figures at your local branch may differ slightly from the typical prices mentioned here — it’s always worth a quick look at the menu board before you order.
